Well after much coaxing, I got my husband to help me switch out my red cabinet for my green cabinet and I love how it changed the space. My open staircase is one of my favorite parts of our home. It’s the first thing you see when you come in our front door so by keeping the palette more neutral surrounding it, it seemed to showcase it even more.

It wasn’t always so fresh and light… Here’s a before picture of when we bought our home 13 years ago. All of the millwork was painted a dark brown so it needed a facelift. We painted every inch of mill work, cabinets, walls and doors in our house… my back hurts just thinking about it.

BEFORE PIC
It was fun to add some autumn decor to my newly arranged space. And I was super excited about the relaxed roman shade that Kim whipped up for me in a matter of 30 minutes!! For now I’ll be using my wingbacks in here, but plan to eventually have slipcovers made for my other ones. {if only that money tree in my yard would grow a little faster…}

Simple touches of orange bittersweet and white pumpkins was all this room needed for fall. I hope you enjoy the pictures and getting another glimpse of my home. Feel free to PIN or share on Facebook!!
Have a great day!!!
