I fell in love with this rustic basket and hooks mounted on wood that I found at HomeGoods.. They were the perfect functional accessories for my client’s bath redo.

When I brought them home from HomeGoods, my husband looked them over and thought he’d try making a version of his own. I found him a cute little wire basket that I had up in my boys room and told him to run with it…
Materials Needed:
A wire basket {I found mine at a garage sale for $1, but this site has some great possibilities.}
I also love these baskets from IKEA…
Materials Needed:
Rustic wood {2 strips of pallet wood worked well for the size of our basket.}
2 small strips of wood for the back
Cordless drill and screws

Step 1: Cut the wood to a length that is proportionate to your basket.
Step 2: Position the thin strips of wood across the back and then screw them to the pallet wood.. {Make sure the screws are short enough so that they don’t go through the pallet wood.}

Step 3: With our basket, my husband was able to screw through the metal pieces that were already on the back. I think another fun option would be to drill holes in the wood and tie the basket in place with twine.

And here is the finished result!

The one from HomeGoods cost around $25. Our version cost under $3!!
Hope you have a great week!!!
