Kim and I both seem to have problems remembering to photograph random projects and their tutorials. When we get a rush of creativity (and a spare minute to put it to use) we often just get caught up in the moment and forget to grab our cameras. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve called each other saying “I made something really cute!”, and the other will say, “Did you photograph it?!”, and then we’ll respond, “Oh crud….”. The other problem we have is that we don’t always know how a project is going to go, and its often a trial run which was the case with this fabric covered magnetic board. You’ll see in the ended I added an optional detail.
Materials Needed:
A piece of magnetic metal {I used this board from Ikea which I actually found at Goodwill.)
A piece of fabric cut about 2 inches bigger the your magnetic board
Spray Adhesive
A hot glue gun {not shown}

Step 1:
Cut your fabric approx. 2 inches larger than your board allowing enough extra fabric to wrap around to the back.

Step 2:
Using your spray adhesive, spray the entire front of the magnetic board. Carefully lay the board face down onto your fabric. Flip it over and smooth out any wrinkles.

Step 3:
Use your glue gun to wrap and adhere the fabric to the back of your magnetic board.
~~Optional Add On ribbon~~
Materials needed:
Ribbon
Glue gun
Step 1:
Cut your ribbon slightly larger than the width of your board so that there is extra to wrap around to the back. Follow the Heat-n-Bond instructions to apply the fusible web to the back of your ribbon.

Step 2:
Follow the Heat-n-bond instructions to adhere the ribbon to your magnetic board.

Step 3:
Use your glue gun to adhere the extra ribbon around to the back of your board.

And there you have it! A one-of-a-kind, simple yet chic magnetic board!!
