An Architectural Element

My favorite part of the family room is the old shop door that I discovered in my dad’s work shop.  It’s something that could be reproduced but for me it has special meaning because of where it came from.  I’ve seen them all over pinterest, etc. and thought it would be so great to do some day.  Then one afternoon I was rummaging around up in my dad’s workshop.  This is a space I grew up with, spent many hours as a child exploring around but somehow I never notice this amazing door and track until just this year.  Given, it was hidden behind piles of “stuff” but somehow this day I spotted it.

{I do believe I heard a choir of angels singing when I laid my eyes on it…}

Once I got the green light from my dad,  we sent Ryan and Brant {our hubbies} on over to the shop to unearth this bad boy and within 2 hours it was hanging perfectly in our family room!!!
