Makeover!

Let’s call the last post for Brielle’s Getaway the “Before” photo.  Brielle and I spent a weekend recently painting on wallpaper…yep, you heard me right.  This was all free by using paint we already had and a stencil we cut out of cardboard.  We traced the stencil over and over until the wall was full, then painted over the pencil lines.  We repeated it for every wall.  We had so much fun doing it…we couldn’t stop for bedtime the first night!  I am working on a new design in Liv’s room and I can’t wait to share that when it is done.

I got this idea from another blog www.jonesdesigncompany.com and she has a great download for the template…I used my own and it isn’t perfect so use THIS one.

admin - Thanks Becca!! I found the wool blanket at the Gathering of Friends sale that is held here in Minneapolis, and I made the pillow sham out of some fun tweed fabric I had. Thanks for visiting JJ & Co!!!

Rhonda - Love how the stenciled wall turned out – incredible! Visiting from the 36th Avenue…

Becca - The room is so lovely! I saw you featured at 36th Avenue.
I also love the wool blanket and pillow case. Where did you find them- they’re perfect to balance the softness in the room.
Love. it.

Desiree - Ladies,
You guys are amazing! I love this room.
I’ll be featuring it tomorrow on my blog. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and being such an inspiration.

Have a great weekend!

Naoya - - The walls turned out soo lveoly! Brielle must love her gorgeous room even more now. : ) I have a short wall in my entry way that I’ve been thinking of doing a stencil on. I have all the materials to do it, besides the paint, but I haven’t come across a pattern I’m brave enough to paint on the wall. Maybe it’ll be my project this weekend. ~ Catie
