Frosted Glass Address Door

This was the easiest project…and what a great way to add privacy without cutting out the light that floods in through the front door window.

Here are the easy steps:

1. Buy the house numbers for your address, last name, etc…or you can come up with something on your computer and print using your printer onto contact paper and cut them out of this {best to print a mirror image onto the paper part of the contact paper}.  These are the best ways to stick on numbers to the window and still be able to easily remove them after spraying the frosted glass spray.  If you buy exceptionally sticky numbers or letters, be sure to stick them to your clothes a few times to lessen the sticky-ness.  You need them to stick enough around the edges so that the spray will need seep under them but still be able to get them off really easily when the spray is done or else you will scratch the new spray frost.  I found my sticker numbers at Lowe’s {about $.99 each}.

I used Rustoleum Frosted Glass spray…found at Menards {about $5}.

Measure where your stickers should go first and check with a level before spraying.  Be sure to cover the outside eadge of your window, door, etc.  The floor is another place that gets access spray.  You need to spray a light covering, let dry and repeat several times.  It is best to spray far away…so the frost gets on evenly.

Peel off the numbers and enjoy!  Total cost: $8.  Bye bye ugly drape!!
